What Vörður means

A vörður is a cairn — the stacked stones that generations of travellers built to mark safe passage across the Icelandic highlands, where the fog rolls in and the trail disappears.

We took the name because it carries what we care about: direction, endurance, and the quiet knowledge that someone came this way before and made it through. Every piece we make is a marker on that route.
